suffocation
dusting lungs
drying hairs break
bones in insatiable thirst
and the joy being sucked
oozing thick black from my toes
lying flat as particle boards
alternating with cramped fetal
clinging to my knees
terror and comfort in darkness
hallowing out internal
dead winter
yearning for the iron red of blooded rocks
and salted air
